lifespark is a Swiss charity, founded in 1993 by three women who wanted to create a way for prisoners on death row in the USA to find penfriends. 

The association expanded to include support services, such as our state and travel sheets, counselling for members whose penfriends face execution, and financial contributions to organizations working to end the death penalty in the US and worldwide. 

lifespark currently has about 170 members, mainly in Switzerland, but also in other countries such as Germany, France, the UK and the USA.
